Although the 65 was built to fulfill her primary business, that being fishing, Hatteras did not forget that even the most rugged offshore traveler occasionally looks forward to a comfortable break after the battles are done. A multi-stateroom layout, and three head setup gives everyone on board their ample private space.

Her galley, dinette, and salon are well laid out and spacious. For food preparation, the galley features wide counters and refrigerators and freezers. The dinette and galley, can easily seat six in comfort, and the couches aft of the galley not only affords cushy seating, is a convenient place to catch a nap on the way to or from the fishing grounds.

Despite her good looks--unmistakably Hatteras from any angle--and comfortable accommodations, it's her cockpit that gives this convertible the edge in the business she was designed for. The forward bulkhead houses tackle drawers plus a console that contains a bait freezer, sink, and rigging station. Additional gear includes a livewell in the sole and a pair of 39-foot, bridge-mounted Rupp outriggers with triple spreaders. Also in the sole were a pair of standard stowage wells and a fishwell. There are fresh- and saltwater washdowns.

No expense was spared while dialing in this yacht as a sportfisher. An enclosed bridge with full controls allow you to have the advantage, even in less than favorable weather.
